Depot Days in Brooklyn Wisconsin, April 26 & 27, 2008. Saturday from 10am to 5pm, Sunday from 10am-4pm. Check out the latest at www.DepotDays.info Events include; Model railroads, historical display, bake sale and concessions in the community building. Silver Dollar Shows downtown across the street from the Speeder Car rides. Collect the Art of Depot Days in Andrew House Tea Room next door to the tracks downtown. And of course a parade at 1pm on Sunday. Contact the chamber to enter your unit, $10, no cost for non profits and chamber members.
Village Garage Sales, April 26, 2008 during Depot Days. The Oregon Observer solicits listings in their garage sale ads directly from participants. Watch the paper for this or call 835-6677.
Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree Sale, November-December, 100 E. Main St. at Andrew House Tea Room. Fresh cut from just outside of Brooklyn, brought in within the day of cutting. We have Scotch, White, and White Spruce for $25; Blue Spruce for $35 and Balsam and Fir starting at $45. Open noon to 7pm daily until Dec. 23. Thanks for a great year!! We gave away one free tree on Christmas weekend, we also want to thank our supplier for donating the tree in front of the community building.
Chamber of Commerce Santa Day, Saturday December 8, 2008 at the community building 102 N. Rutland from 1-4pm. Santa will be available for pictures or have us take a digital 5 X 7 for $5. We also have free: refreshments, 3 crafts tables and regifting center where children can choose gifts free and they will be wrapped. Chamber members will have sales booths and the Oregon Optimists will be selling food items. Thanks to all that helped out, our jolly elf Lyle Wanless, we had more children than ever in the regifting center, the gift wrappers never had a chance to sit down.
Our 7th Annual Business Expo was held Saturday February 23, 2008. We had booths, refreshments, door prize, music and fun. Thanks to all that attended and donated to the food pantry. We were able to add two boxes to their supply.
